What is your favorite part of enjoying your SxS on the trails? Speed, scenery, rock climbing, .. or something else? Myself I love to slow down and enjoy the woods, and soak in the scenery and the wildlife. Driving at high speeds and eating dust use to be fun when I was younger, but not any more. I do like playing on the rocks when we get into the mountains too.

I brought this up because I avoid most organized rides because the tendency is to hold on tight and bury your foot into the gas pedal. Not my thing now.

Hey Gary. I enjoy the scenery, the rocks, sand, rough trails and a little water occasionally. I even still enjoy flying down the road/trail at a good clip. but I especially like riding with a few good friends. One of my favorite rides is to drive in the dark (NO LIGHTS) over a known trail, definitely drive at a very reasonable speed.

I like a mix of slow technical, high speed, and some stuff with scenery.

Definetly a scenic rider, when I ride with others we often talk about the deer and wild turkeys along the trail. Most of the time the others never see such things! I also find those that ride fast and hard have far more repairs to make. I enjoy riding not fixing...

Fast, casual, slow, technical, I like it all. I do like riding at a good clip most of the time.

I always carry my camera and slower speeds cut down on the blurry pictures. :)

Gary L I like trail riding, not slow, not fast "half fast" that's me. I want to see all there is to see. I do not go out looking for mud but I do not shy away from it. I do not seek technical trails but have been on some black trails. Mostly I like to ride with friends and family, I love Hatfield McCoy in the fall. I would love to trail ride with Side X Side nation this year but Rhoda Mule will not be able to keep up.

It depends on the scenery. Places like Colorado where I see vistas that we don't get here in Michigan I prefer to slow down. Most of the trails I've ridden in Michigan isn't much for scenery so we usually go at a pretty good clip. Forests are forests...not much changes but when we do come across something pretty neat looking, I just slow down. I tend to stay at the back of the pack so I don't bother others when I decide to take a picture or two.

This is not true for all people. I enjoy being outside and especially love it when I am riding through the woods. I love to visually explore the trees when riding through them and enjoying the tree formations and color. I also search for wildlife when cruising through the woods. Maybe it is from my love of hunting and woodland photography, but I would rather drive at a speed that I can enjoy the trees around me.

I realize my opinion is just that but since I don't ride alone anymore (age and health issues have caught up to me) I have to go with the flow of those I'm riding with which is why I try to ride last in the group in order to stop when I want to see something interesting.

I think you will find most groups are on track with your style for sure. A mix of everything.

I'm with you in following the flow Dennis! About the only time I ride fast Is when I'm trying to keep up with the young 'uns. I would like to ride with you sometime Dennis. Taking pictures is part of all of my riding. Unless I'm following Curt...too busy holding on to snap photos! :)

I like the scenery but also like to go fast. Gary is reminds me of a ride we did up north on year and I thought I was doing so good with an average speed of 20 and when we got back it was still to fast for you. :)
