Now that I added the soft cab to the X2, I decided to go all the way and install a heater. It's going to be quite a change over last years open-air winter riding. It says Inferno right on the box, so you know it's good! :D

That soft enclosure make a BIG difference, I added one last year, it is now a pleasure to stay out all day plowing snow! I used a small made for a golf cart propane heater and it works excellent, instant heat. Mine uses self stick Velcro to attach but the self stick part doesn't work that well, I ended up using "goop" shoe adhesive and that works much better.

The enclosure was a big improvement, but that just made me want more! :D

The heater will be a nice addition for sure! We had the dealer install ours pre delivery with plans of adding the parts to enclose the cab.

The dealer install wasn't a bad idea. It was kind of a pain dealing with the coolant lines in tight quarters and the coolant itself. I tried my best to capture it but still lost about a quart on the floor. I'm almost done now. :)

Install is finished and it's niiiiiice. The UPI unit was perfectly set up for the X2 and the blower harness plugged right into one of the five accessory plugs Yamaha gave us. If you install this unit, put the driver's side fender flare back on before you bolt the unit to the frame. It will hit the fender flare is you mount it to far to the right... or left if you were sitting in the machine. Just put the fender flare back on. :D

Don't hate Curt, you know you want a heater too.

PS....These SXS's are making me soft. We used to ride snowmobiles with nothing but some barely working heated grips in -15 all day long. Now I need a heater, roof, windshield and doors when it gets into the 40's. lol ;)

PPS....My next google search was..... "Polaris Heated Seat Kit" :)

We toughed it out in wide open one lungers for a while. We're still hard... Curt and his gang went soft years ago. :)

I have been holding off on door uppers and a heater but wife says she needs them so I'm going to get them just for her. I don't really need them.

And That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :D:rolleyes::cool:;)
