Hey guys, I'm really interested in looking at the intimidator for our family bus! The issue is the closest dealer is an hour away. I'm just wanting to know if its worth the effort. They look to be a special machine. And I REALLY like the fast they are manufactured and assembled in the US. My wife's favorite so far is the Ranger 900 XP. How do they compare? Thank you so much for the input.

I have no experience with the Can Am line up, but know from being on various forms and watching neighbors, etc., the 900 might be a flagship model for Polaris. I would have no reservations in owning a 900, well known and there are many aftermarkets parts available as well as accessories.

As far as I understand, the Intimidator is its own company right?

Also Richard check out the intimidator section. Not a lot of info in there but some on lifts roofs and basic info if you haven't looked already. Wish I could help you. All I know about those is the seats are awesome and very comfortable

Yeah as @jmarco89 explained, they are defiantly their own company. I have spoke to the owner a few different times to see if he would be interested in a sponsorship within SXSNation.com to speak with potential customers. He seems like a nice guy just probably pretty busy as he is trying to make a name for his brand in a already dominated industry.

Couldn't really tell you how they compare but @wixthedog can help you out with that decision as he is our most active Intimidator user as of now. Will be interesting what he has to say in remarks to comparison between that and the Ranger 900!

They sure look good on paper - anxious to read about what you find out. Oh yeah, their Spartan ZT lawn mower looks like a winner also!

Sorry for the delayed response guys.

I think you will find visiting the dealer well worth the trip. They are very well built, priced right, and as you said- made in the good ol' USA. I have a cople buddies with Polaris machines and they do well for sure, I really don't think you can go wrong.

If you have any questions or want to chat more about them feel free to PM me.

Thanks for the vids, Ron! I know that Intimidator has some sort of relationship with Bad Boy, but the Spartan mower 'looks' light years ahead of Bad Boy ZT. Only problem for me is that the closest dealership is a 100 miles away :( matter of fact, the closest Intimidator dealer is 50 miles away (Cabelas).

The guy that own Intimidator started Bad Boy mowers with another guy, he sold out and started this company and then the Spartan line as well.

They make a great machine. Every time I look under or in it I find something else that is over built and very well designed. Most SXS's have the same technology and thinking that ATV designs have, Intimidator started with a blank slate and made it tough.
