2017 Polaris General Ride Command Edition

Well, I traded my 2013 RZR XP900 back 2 months ago on a ,"Like New", used 2017 Ride Command Edition General with 280 miles and 6 months old. Because of many various reasons, I have still yet to take it out to ride, but I have been able to install a couple of add-ons and will be getting a couple more done over the next week. Here's a couple of pics, with more to come as I can.

2017 Polaris General Ride Command Edition

I've removed and sold the front and rear Lock & Ride poly windshield. I've already replaced the rear with a RyFab sliding window panel. I have a Side By Customs front fixed auto glass w/wiper and lower flip-out vent panels on order. I will also be replacing the Polaris roof with one from Side By Customs as well. My TrailArmor UHMW 1/2" skids will be installed this week as well as a Duraclutch. I'm waiting on HighLifter for my front arched forward a-arms, which are currently on backorder until 2/8. Then I can install the front and rear a-arms. I have 30" x 10" x 14" Roctanes on STI HD5 5-4 offset beadlock wheels on it too. This week I installed a full set of Grizzz Tek guards for the battery, fuel tank, front firewall/wheel well & radiator.

2017 Polaris General Ride Command Edition

Well , I finally got to take it out. Went for a nice half day ride at Windrock with some friends from Florida. Going back out tomorrow for a full day. Here's a couple of quick shots I took today. If I can remember I'll get some more tomorrow. It's supposed to rain so it should be quite a bit muddier.

So now that you have had it out what is your thought on the new ride compared to the RZR.

I'm very happy, the ride was very impressive. I miss my RZR XP900 because it was my first SXS, but I feel this machine is just as capable and has it's utility ability that I can use around my house. I ran yesterday with the Fox shocks set at 1 and most of today on 2. It seemed to have a slight firmer ride when we were able to ride faster on the gravel connectors. But I believe that's how it's supposed to ride, still a good ride nothing harsh about it. On 1 it was a bit softer and did well in the slow crawl through the rocks and bumps. Still undecided which way I'll go with it between 1 & 2, time will tell. Oh, one more thing, it turns tighter that my old RZR. Very helpful on the switchback trails.

Did a little more today. I installed my radio so I communicate with the others while riding. I also wired up a fuse panel. Oh yeah, I installed my Outerwears, 2 up front and 1 on the air filter. I know it's not Lime-Squeeze, but I figured the bright color would show the dust and dirt easier.
