I had previously owned the 700 Pioneer but had to sell it due to some financial trouble. This was the 1st time since is was 15 (1989) i hadn't had an ATV or something to ride, and it was a tough pill for me to swallow.

Now, 1.5 years later, I'm back in the game.

@Piston Honda seemed kinda lonely here, so i decided to help out with a 2015 Pioneer 500.

My 1st ride is under my belt, and my views are generally favorable. This is a much smaller machine than i was used to...and I've not been on the trail in a while, so there was some rust, but all in all, I have enjoyed it thus far.

Cool machine! Looks like you had a pretty decent day. We are paitiently waiting the weather to break here in Michigan as of now, but we are less than a month away from our first planned ride! Chomping at the bit to get out there!

Cool ride. We don’t have many places here in Texas to ride like that. Mine is used on the Property and to ride to get the
    Mail. Keep on.

@DG Rider - Is that the Moose roof you have installed? If yes, how do you like it?

I thought the same thing when i glanced at it, but upon further inspection its a homemade job from the previous owner. It squeaks like crazy, so i added weather stripping under it. It is also cracking in a spot or too, so in a few years i may be trying the Moose brand.

That's actually good news, because it did look a little home made.

I've looked at one with the moose roof and i don't really have any complaints about it except im not sure about the recessed area in front. On sunny days it might let more sun in the face, but then again, lets you have more upward visibility i guess. And a little more rain in the crotch.

The aluminum EMP is nice with rain gutters and custom colors, but cost twice as much. And the OEM Honda...well...

I find your comment interesting since I view the west ( AZ, CO, UT, NM, etc ) as a riding mecca with almost unlimited riding outside of metropolitan areas. I've been wondering if TX is the same?

Or maybe you're talking about trees and grass?
