Changed oil in my Odes Dominator 800 X-2 a while ago,Amzoil 10-40 full synthetic, used it since no problems. Machine sat for several weeks , went to plow yesterday and it seemed like it took forever to build oil pressure. I shut it down and restarted it twice before the light finally went out. Oil level is good. Should I use a heavier oil? Additives? Suggestions?

How good is the oil pressure sensor? Mabey install a gage to be sure?

Oil pressure gage is an oil pressure gage no matter what it is on. Just need to find a way to mount it. Most cars have a sending unit which I tee off so both idiot light and a gage can be used.

Go lighter on the oil instead of heavier.
    Like 5w-40 or 0w-40.
It flows better in cold temps and will build pressure quicker.

Being a synthetic oil weight doesnt mean much like it does with dino oils. I would be more interested in knowing "if" you actually have a problem or not. Have you changed oil regularly to be sure there is no crude built up inside? Just offering suggestions here...
