You would be the perfect durability tester lol, have them send you the turbo model :)! I was really impressed when I read the standard equipment list, doors, windshield, mirrors, wipers w/washers, turn signals, horn etc.

I'm skeptical... Give it time and we shall see if they stick around. A truly good UTV thats street legal country wide would be a big big thing..if a company could nail a dependable machine, that held the ability to be road legal, i think they'd accelerate quickly in the industry. i REALLY dotn know why none of the already established makers haven't gone this route yet.. Its almost as if they dont want the bullcrap that goes along with it. Still boggles my mind that a motorcycle can be, but a buggy cant be.... guess im just dumb or something. lol

I understand why most don't build street legal machines. Im sure the motor vehicle code state by state would be a nightmare to comply with. Not to mention all the insurance regulations. By stating "for off road use only" they eliminate a ton of headaches.

They use a GEO Metro drivetrain, 3 cylinder, manual trans. Pretty nice looking rig, but don't know how the thing would last on the trails!

Indiana allows you to register off-road vehicles that will allow you to ride on county roads, along state roads (to the right of the white line) and cross state roads at a 90 degree angle. The problem we run into is sometimes to get from one county road to another you need to run down the state road a short distance and very few state roads have enough shoulder to ride on. Indiana did recently pass a law this year that allows mini trucks be registered and can be driven on any roads except an interstate. I checked into the requirements and there's really not many to the point I'm not so sure SxS vehicles may not qualify. Once I see what the future holds on the General 4 I may try getting something registered and see how it goes.

What the heck 3,or4! LOL. Michigan banned street legal process for UTV's. but the Oreions can be licensed for street use. Not sure how they managed that, but they did! Must be the tax, title, and license revenue!

They may get away with getting these registered if the certificate of origin doesn't have "for off road use only" stamped on it. I came very close to getting a ranger registered with a truck plate a few years ago until the dmv lady noticed the "for off road use only" marked on it at the last minute lol!

There is a dealer in Holland MI. that advertises the Oreions. Yet to see one on the trails!

    According to the site, the 2-seater is a 3-cylinder Chery motor (812cc, 52hp) and the 4-seater is a 4-cylinder Chery (1100cc, 67hp).

Hmmm. They are in Rio Rancho. That's not too far from me.

Need a big block to make them fun! LOL, 52HP for a fun machine, be ideal for lake front towns! From what little bit I remember, they looked pretty decent. Fit and finish was good, interior layout was good, performance hard to tell!

They are a little tight to sit in, but I have a little experience with the Chery engines and they can be made to run good

I'd love to take one for a test run can't really beat the price especially with all the extras that you have to pay extra for on sxs's

The 3 cylinder 812cc cherry motor is what's in the new mules as well as the JD 825i I think. Good strong running motor. It could use some more power though

I was wondering if that wasn't the same engine that thing ran good. The 4 seater Oreion has an 1100cc engine and they sell turbo kits for half as much as some kits, an 1100 with a turbo would be fun
