    2019 Polaris General 4

Here it is you guys. The long awaited new machine (at least by me).
We ended up selling the Ranger 500 and landed on the 2019 General 4. I was pretty set on the RZR Turbo for a few months, but after having the opportunity to ride in and drive one of these machines a couple months ago, I was sold. It fits our needs perfectly!
My plan with this thread is to post up changes, additions or modifications as I do them and answer any questions. If there is a product that I really like, I will post up a separate thread with some additional info on that product or addition.
I got the machine over at Ball Equipment in Richmond. They are an outstanding dealer to deal with. The sales personal really know their stuff and the financing department got me an outstanding rate with a local credit union. I have dealt with other dealers in the past and there is really no comparison. Ball Equipment was excellent!

Well, here it is. In nearly 100% stock form. I did have Ball Equipment add the OEM Polaris heater per the wife's request. I also had a seat belt bypass plug installed before it even left the trailer.

WOOT WOOT ! nice looking wheels Carl!

Question on the heater, what are you planning to keep the warm air in? soft cab? or do they make a hard one for that unit?

Yeah, there are some really nice Polaris canvas door uppers that you can add to the factory doors or a super nice set of full hard doors. The hard doors are a bit spendy for me and our intended use. I will be adding an alum roof as well as a front glass sheild and a rear panel. Polaris also makes these (only offers plastic roofs for the 4 seat though). I would love to have the lock and ride front sheild with wiper, but I would be almost $2k deep for that. I am still narrowing down my choices of some of the aftermarket stuff as of now. It won’t be air tight, but for some late season riding it will knock the chill out of the cab for sure.

    Grizzz Tek guards installed!
After seeing @Curt put a rock or something thru the back of his radiator first hand, I knew these Grizzz Tek Bear Skin guards would be one of my first mods. I had to do something similar to my Ranger. I will say, these are MUCH better and a way better price. After talking to Randy, I ended up with the full protection kit. Radiator, front fender wells, fuel tank area, battery/ electrical area. To anyone with a General, these are 100% a MUST! There are also guards available for several RZR models as well as Maverick. I took some video that I will post in another thread with a few more product details.

I have the Polaris lock and ride front glass and went with the ford escape wiper ( has full sweep Polaris doesn't ) and I'm into it about 700 I also have rear lock and ride glass and both with wiper I'm still well within your est. The wife wants me to put the heater on the short list as well even without doors a friend has one and will keep you warm behind windsheild

Should have been more specific, I was meaning the tip out glass which is $1200 plus. Even with an alternative wiper, I think I will be into it for more that I want to spend. I’m looking at ryfab as well as side by customs which offer a vented glass with wiper for around $600. I will probably do a hard coat poly for the back. There are several pretty cost effective options for these around.

I've had both RyFab & SBC products, they both produce quality stuff. I ended up with a SBC windshield and RyFab rear panel with a sliding window.
