I picked up a single wheel bonnet at Harbor Freight for around $26. Going to give that a try when I get back on my feet.

When I was using an open trailer I used the Harbor Freight bonnets and was really pleased with them. I now have an enclosed trailer that had tie down points installed where the bonnets won't work so I use ratchet straps that I've had for years. Rated at 2k each and use them on all 4 points.

I use Smart Straps Commerical when I am headed to the trails. I never had an issue with Smart Straps if you ask me they are one of the best brands to go with.

That's interesting. There must be a lot more wind resistance than I thought with an open trailer.

    Odes Dominator X LT

Once again, good info from good people. I am in the process of building a trailer and the advice is priceless. I have an Odes Dominator X2 and it's 80 inches to the top of the light bar so enclosed is problematic. What are the e-tracs fastened to? Will they be strong enough if fastened to the deck (2x8)?
    Thanks

E-Trak is bolted to the floor or wall. there are holes the full length of the E-Trak your option to use a lag type screw or bolt and nut threw the floor. And yes would be plenty strong as long as the deck is securely attached to the trailer. if not sure When attached to floor at some point it would cross a trailer floor brace make sure your bolt is screwed into or threw that brace depending on your way of attaching the E-Trak IMG_20180711_201048443.jpg IMG_20180711_201107653.jpg
